New Van Gogh Painting

Image
“Sunset at Montmajour” by Vincent Van Gogh This beauty has come to light and declared to be the work of the Dutch master, Vincent Van Gogh. I honestly have to say that this is one of my favorite pieces that he has created. I love everything about it, especially his brush strokes and his color usage. This painting was painted in Arles in 1888 around the same period that he painted his well known "Sunflowers", "The Bedroom", and "The Yellow House". I hope to go to the magical place where this painting resides. What a beauty! The world is that much more beautiful tonight to have another Van Gogh to see. Thank you Vincent.~Janet

"Sunflower Dreams"

Image
"Sunflower Dreams" Oil Painting 12 x 24 inches        This oil painting was iNsPiReD by beautifu l sunflowers.   This summer I keep noticing sunflowers everywhere that I go. I can't help but to aDmIrE their beauty. This admiration led me to desire to witness a field of sunflowers. I looked up the closest sunflower field to my home, but unfortunately it is four hours away. However, instead of venturing away on this four hour trip, I decided to bring the sunflower fields to LiFe on my canvas. I also painted the figure and the landscape with bright DrEaM like features with a beautiful sunset over the mountains. It is also painted in an impressionistic style similar to Vincent Van Gogh's sunflowers. The sunflowers are painted with the tip of my paint brush with heavy impasto. The figure is day dreaming of this BeAuTiFuL scenery where he or she can can ImAgInE this beauty at any given moment. With this painting I would like to bring sunflowers into...

Aylin Carrying Sunflowers

Image
Inspiration is taking over my soul this week. My little sister Aylin and sunflowers are a part of this inspiration. My sister is the sweetest little girl that I have ever met. I am not only saying this because she is my sister, but her actions have made me come to this conclusion. Her heart is nurturing, positive, and caring. In this painting I represent her beautiful caring hear t with sunflowers . "Aylin Carrying Sunflowers" Watercolor Painting   This is a sketch of Aylin.   This is a painting of my sister from a few years back.

"Distant Dreams"

Image
Hello people of the world,  I want to share my latest work with you. This painting is called "Distant Dreams". This work is a bit different from my other works. I decided to combine pencil and watercolor in the same piece. I believe they complement each other very well.  This painting is inspired by an eighteen year old photographer named Greta Tuckute, hair and make-up/stylist Margrethe Yasmin Kristiansen , and the beautiful model named Nanna Breinbjerg. Click Here to See the Photograph. Here is what it looks like when mounted on the wall. I am attached to this painting for some reason, so the original will stay on my wall. "The Beauty Within" What is true beauty?

Image
I am excited to show you the progress pictures of my latest original oil painting called "The Beauty Within".    This painting was inspired after a long talk with a close friend. We spoke about the internal beauty and what makes a person beautiful. Lets start by defining beautiful. To most people beautiful may signify qualities that enchant the senses.  This implies that beauty is physical by nature. On the contrary, I came to the conclusion that beauty is about the qualities that one posses within. Beauty is not defined in a person's physical qualities, but instead true beauty lies within the self. For example if someone is physically attractive, but is dishonest, disrespectful, and has a bad temper, that person will no longer look as attractive. However if a person is loyal, true to them selves, and patient, that persons beauty will shine.     My painting below is a symbol of inner beauty. The figure in the painting is pale with no f...

"Center Stage" Original Oil Painting Final Update

Image
Below is the entire process of "Center Stage". It took me about a year to finally complete this painting. This is a current painting that I am working on  called "Center Stage". It is inspired by Salvador Dali.  Someone told me that my work has surrealistic tendencies, so i decided to work with it.  This is the first progress pic of Center Stage. I painted over another painting called Lady in the Water that I was not found of. Either way I enjoy starting fresh because it gives me the opportunity to make an even better painting. It is also a great learning experience, so time is never wasted. I said my goodbyes to the painting and so I started with the dark blue sky and then slowly worked my way down. I then proceeded to paint the blue mountains. I am fascinated with cobalt blue for some reason. I use it in most of my paintings. This is when I painted the curtains and noticed the right curtain looked like a face. I worked with it and made ...

"A Place of Solitude" Original Oil Painting

Image
"A Place of Solitude" Oil painting, 16'' x 20'', by Andrea Realpe This painting was inspired by a piece called Blossom Tree Maleri. It is a piece that caught my eye at first glance because it is pure nature. This painting can take you into a dream world where your senses are one with the earth. I created a dreamy, hazy environment where the main focus is the red tree. This is a place where anyone can go to for a place of solitude. You may sit down on the grass and relax by the water. You may also want to feel the water with your bare feet while taking in the view of the scenery.  Some may say that the red tree is lonely, but it is not. The tree is surrounded by grass, mountains, streams, rocks, clouds, and everything else that mother nature has to offer.
